About
I’ve been incredibly fortunate to work with exceptional teams and visionary leaders across the country. I’m particularly passionate about connecting ideas, resources, and people to develop a creative, actionable, and cost-effective path forward. Since 2007, much of my focus was on collaborative, mission-driven climate and energy programs at the local, state, and national levels in the US. This visible, high-pressure work was successful - and even award-winning - despite budget, time, and political constraints. No small feat!
From the data-driven Community Energy Challenge at U.S. EPA to 1,000 Houses in 1,000 Days for the City of South Bend, I’ve led ambitious initiatives that required extensive collaboration across sectors and stakeholder groups to achieve measurable results. In my role at DEEP, I managed a team that directed the utility-administered $700M efficiency and demand response programs and the interagency GreenerGov efforts. My professional experience is rounded out by roles as an Executive Director for a small nonprofit, Chief Program Officer at the Institute for Market Transformation, and a consultant on ENERGYSTAR efforts.
These types of roles and ambitious goals honed strong management skills, 360-degree mentorship, and thoughtful partnerships with community groups, local champions, innovative businesses, utilities, government agencies at all levels, funders, and nonprofits. Over time, I’ve had to address everything from safety issues to organizational funding crises - and am a better person for it.
I’m currently the President of the CT/RI Chapter of the Alumnae-i Network of Harvard Women and on the Advisory Board for New England Women in Energy and Environment. I’ve held multiple other Board roles in the past - from staff to leadership. My advanced academic training is from Tufts and Harvard in environmental health (epidemiology), urbanism, ecology, and design. I also have an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan in English. I’m a perennial student, and you can often find me in a garden, practicing yoga, or learning from loved ones - including one very expressive herding dog who adores puzzles.
